Joseph Branly jbranly@nd.edu 1 - A MMORPG ( Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game ) implementation of a chat client much like IM, except in a graphical world, focus would be researching techniques for synchronizing massive numbers of players communication, pinpointing problems, such as player disconnects and finding ways to maxmize bandwidth utilization 2 - A router/firewall transfer program. This program would be able to transfer files from point to point regardless of firewall implementations ( to a point ). HTTP transfer is the primary method of file transfer, as it is easily sent through port 80 on firewalls, but perhaps employ other methods as well.
